How do I use the box office?
Each Event Organiser also has the option of using the Box Office at the event. The Box Office works best on a laptop or a tablet (rather than your phone). You or your staff can login to your account and use the Box Office from any location that has a strong internet connection. In the Box Office function, you can purchase tickets for a customer at the gate.
Quick Explanation
Simply select from the Ticket Types available, click ‘book now’, fill out the customer details, select the method of payment, fill out the customers credit card details and the customer will be on their way with their new ticket.
When you purchase tickets for a customer through the Box Office
Go to the events 'summary page' for the event you want to issue tickets for and click the 'box office' button on the side bar. To process a ticket purchase, simply complete the form on behalf of the customer.
You can choose to enter all of the customer details or leave them blank.
We recommend entering the key information (full name + email) so you can keep track of their order later.
If your event is extremely busy leaving them blank is an easy way to process POS and issue physical tickets. If you leave them blank, you will need to print the ticket for the customer using a laser or normal printer.
If you enter the customer details, the ticket will be emailed to them (within 5 minutes). If the customer wants a receipt, you will need to enter their customer details and a receipt will be emailed to them (within 5 minutes).
You can choose from 3 different payment options.
- Select cash if the customer wants to pay by cash or cheque.
- Select EFTPOS if you have your own terminal.
- If the customer wants to pay by credit card, simply enter the customers card details.
NOTE: It is important that you don't record their credit card details anywhere other than IWannaTicket.
After Purchase
When tickets are purchased through the Box Office, their tickets will be sent to their email address within a few minutes of the purchase.
If you are also scanning tickets at the event, you can go into the IWannaTicket Scanning App, refresh the list, search the new customers name and sign them in – without ever looking at their new ticket.
