Locating a gift voucher or credit note in the orders area
- If you know the event the original gift voucher was purchased or the credit note issued you can locate the sale in the orders area of the event by searching the order number.
Note: For a sale where a credit note has been issued the order status will appear as Returned. For a gift voucher sale the order status will appear as Confirmed if the gift vouchers has not yet been redeemed. If the gift voucher has been redeemed the the order status will be Returned.
Identifying how a gift voucher or credit note has been applied
- To determine what event the customer has redeemed the gift voucher or credit note for click into the order and select Transactions. In the example below you can see the original source transaction and the transaction where a credit note has been issued (payment type is marked as returned).
- Copy the alphanumeric code under the heading Tx.Ref. For credit notes this code will start with "R:" for gift vouchers, the code will start with "G:" . Paste the code in the search bar at the right hand corner of the page
- After you've clicked search the original transaction will appear along with any other transactions the gift voucher or credit note has been redeemed for.
- Click into the transactions to identify which order used the gift voucher or credit note. You can identify how much of the gift voucher or credit note has been applied to the sale in the transactions area of the order
Note: you can also identify whether a gift voucher or credit note has been applied in the admissions area of the order. If a gift voucher or credit note has been used it will appear as a discount code as highlighted in the example below.
You can also run the credit note report that will give you more detailed information on credit notes that have been issued and redeemed.
