Box Office Setup

IWannaTicket has sophisticated Box Office Features so that you can configure any device into a custom Box Office for your event. Refer to the instructions below for an explanation for setting up your Box Office and Processing Sales on behalf of your attendee.

Each Event Organiser has the option of using the Box Office feature at their event if they continue to sell tickets on the day at the gate.

Setting up the Box Office

  1. Your device must be connected to a strong Internet connection.
  2. Configuring the ticket types that are for sale in the Box Office. Ensure that the correct prices and quantities have been set up.
  3. Locate the ‘Box Office Set Up’ feature in the Actions area on the first page when you log into your IWannaTicket account. To locate the page, click on your ‘Events’ tab across the top of the page.

4. Select the appropriate tick boxes based on your preferences for Box Office configuration. The first box, ‘Skip the Order Details page’ should only be ticked if you do not want to capture any information from your ticket buyer at the time of purchase. By ticking the box, you will not be given the option to fill in any client information so that you can promptly be taken to the payment page.

Note - We recommend applying this mode when your Box Office is experiencing high traffic and you do not have time to capture information from your attendees. For example: a busy sporting finals event.

5. The next section of this page is ‘Order Completion’. This step will help you to save time and clicks when processing Box Office sales. Tick either, ‘Return to the box office’ so that you can quickly process another sale or alternatively ‘Go to the order’ which takes you to the attendees Confirmed order based on how you want your Box Office set up.

6. If you have the capacity to print hard copy receipts and tickets, tick ‘Offer to print a receipt’ and ‘Offer to print the tickets’. Otherwise, the attendee will be sent both via email.

7. Based on your entry and gate practices, tick ‘Admit the tickets to the event’ so that the attendee will be immediately marked as entered. Otherwise, leave this blank so that they can be scanned again at the gate if the Box Office isn’t an entry point.

8. For ‘Box Office Default’ section, you have the option of selecting a default payment type. Whilst all methods of payment will be available all the time for the ticket buyer, the amount will default to the payment type that you select here. Ie) Eftpos or Cash only lines at the Box Office.
