How do I delete an event date?
IWannaTicket allows you to continuously make changes to your event, including deleting the event if it is required due to unfortunate circumstances or the need to cancel. We always recommend getting in touch with our Account Management team before you cancel an event incase we can provide you with a better alternative.
How to delete an event
If you have made changes to an event date and want to delete it you can. However, there are multiple options.
Option 1 - You have already sold tickets.
In this case, even if the only ticket that you have sold is a test ticket, the event date will not be able to be deleted.
Instead, you can set the sold ticket to 'not available for sale'. This means that no one will be able to search for this ticket and none can be sold through the box office. The ticket will not appear to the public and it will be as good as gone.
Option 2 - You have not sold any tickets.
If no tickets have been sold on the event date, you can go to your 'summary' page of your event.
Then select the date you wish to delete. Underneath the graph you will see:
The 'Delete Date' button is active as no tickets have been sold. Click this button and the date will be deleted.
Option 3 - You have created a test event and have sold no tickets.
In this scenario, you can delete your event. Simply go into the event you wish to delete it from the lower left navigation panel. NOTE: if you have sold event one ticket (even a test) you will not be able to delete the event. In this case, you can make the 'sale status' of the event to 'not available for sale' or 'withdrawn from sale'.
