Processing phone sales on behalf of a customer

If your event has a phone line that attendees can call to purchase tickets over the phone, refer to the steps outlined in this article to process their sale using the Box Office in IWannaTicket.

  1. Ensure that you have configured your Box Office set up referring to the instructions here
  2. Locate the 'Box Office' button on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. To process a ticket purchase on behalf of the attendee, select the quantity of tickets for the correct ticket type.
  4. Ask if the attendee has any discount codes or booking codes which can be entered at the bottom of the page. Then click the blue ‘Reserve Tickets’ button.
  5. Fill in the details page for the Payee (if you have configured your Box Office to require this information).  Then click the blue ‘Next’ button.

Note: If you leave them blank, you will need to print the ticket for the customer using a laser or normal printer. If you enter the customer details, the ticket will be emailed to them (within 5 minutes). If the customer wants a receipt, you will need to enter their customer details and a receipt will be emailed to them (within 5 minutes).

6. Now you are at the payment gateway page, ask the attendee how they want to pay for the order. Click the arrow next to the payment option and then the blue ‘Next Button’.

If you are processing a phone sale, Credit Card is the only option. However, at a Box Office booth at an event the attendee could pay with Cash or EFTPOS.

If the attendee is paying for their order with Credit Card, you will need to fill in the above information.

7. Once the payment has been accepted, the attendees tickets will be sent to their email address within a few minutes of the purchase.
