Setting up a merchandise ticket is the same process as setting up a normal ticket.
Go into 'Summary', then 'Ticket Types'. The drop down option will give you the options of:
- Add Ticket Type
- Add Gift Certificate
- Add Raffle Ticket
- Add Merchandise
After you select, 'Add merchandise' a pop up screen will appear. It has a similar process as a normal way to add a 'ticket type'.
Fill out these details and click 'save'.
You can add any kind of merchandise here. Hats, popcorn, membership, subscriptions, posters, mail, anything! You can title it anything you want, which allows you to have any kind of merchandise.
You will then be redirected to the 'summary' page. You will now see your Merchandise ticket, listed as a 'section'. It will appear in the same place as your other tickets.
Text that appears above the Merchandise tickets
You can add text in your event listing. This can direct people to what merchandise is available, or gives them direction about what they can buy.
Add these details in the 'listing summary' section of your page. You will see 'set merchandise copy. If you tick this box, a new text box will open and will allow you to input text that appears above the merchandise tickets.
What does the customer see?
The customer will proceed to purchase tickets as usual. After they have clicked 'reserve', a new screen will appear with the merchandise options- available for purchase. Like this:
Then customers can select their desired merchandise, it will be added to their total order. They click next and will proceed to checkout.
Merchandise reports
The merchandise purchases appear in a separate report to your other sales. It can also be found in a new section of the 'sales summary' report.
The 'Merchandise' report can be found in the 'reports' section of you event listing. It allows you to keep track of what merchandise orders have been made. As well as being downloadable and allowing you to have a list of merch that has been purchased. For festivals and film screenings, it acts as a guest list and can be checked off at the door.
